What you are looking at

A continuous laser is coupled into a ring resonator. As the laser is tuned into resonance, the light inside the ring can collapse into a short pulse circulating around the ring, which in the spectrum is a comb of evenly spaced lines. The simulator solves this process in your browser, so you can change the dispersion, the detuning and the pump power and see how the pulse and the comb respond.
